
Dr. Promise Ojukwu Hall, APDC Group HQ. - The Africa Projects Development Centre (APDC) today hosted Mrs. Nnenna Nwabufo, the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group’s Vice President for Regional Development, Integration, and Business Delivery. The visit focused on high-level discussions regarding institutional growth and the strengthening of strategic collaborations.
In a closed-door executive session with the Management team, led by Managing Director Dr. Chiji Ojukwu, the Director of Programmes, Policy, and Partnerships, Mr. Maaruf Yakub, delivered a comprehensive briefing on The Centre’s training initiatives and programmes, including those sponsored by the AfDB. Following the technical discussions, the Vice President toured APDC’s urban demonstration farms and specialised facilities. This provided a firsthand look at the practical innovations and infrastructure that The Centre utilises to support its regional training and development mandates that cut across 11 youth-centred enterprises.


Reflecting on the tour, Mrs. Nwabufo praised the impressive advancements at the Centre and pledged her continued personal and institutional support toward its mission. She emphasised that the AfDB remains committed to advancing the kind of innovation she had seen. This endorsement reinforces the strong partnership between the two organizations as they work towards shared goals in regional development, further reaffirming APDC's commitment to driving agricultural transformation, food security, and the creative arts across the continent.
