
Abuja, Gladys Hall, APDC HQ - Today, The Centre had the distinct pleasure of hosting Dr Aloysius Uche Ordu, Senior Fellow and Director of the Africa Growth Initiative at the Brookings Institution. Dr Ordu, who also serves as a member of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) as appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was received by the APDC Group management team for a high-level strategic exchange chaired by our Managing Director, Dr Chiji Ojukwu.


Our Director of Programmes, Policy, and Partnerships, Maaruf Yakub opened the session with a detailed briefing on APDC's 8-year trajectory, portfolio, and impact, laying the ground for substantive discussions on scaling our Youth and Women Incubation Model and mobilising the resources needed to extend our regional reach.


Following the briefing, Dr Ordu toured our urban farming and creative arts demonstration facilities. seeing firsthand the infrastructure behind our incubation mandates, efforts that have now matured into 12 youth and women-centred enterprises.


Reflecting on the tour, Dr Ordu left with praise for the foundations APDC has established, and a pledge of continued personal and institutional support for our mission.
For APDC, this engagement is a milestone in a mission rooted in one enduring belief: that investing in Africa's youth and women is the surest path to her prosperity.
